Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 03 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 03 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 03 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public p lace. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS- 03= 1 case, PS- 17 = 1 case, PS- 19 = 1 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

MV Theft

          Sh. Pankaj Thukral R/o # 3571, Gali Master Mool Chand, Distt.-Fazilka, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Bullet Motor Cycle No. PB-22L-1884 while parked in front of # 1475, Sector-22/B, Chandigarh on night intervening 17/18-12-2018. A case FIR No. 383, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 240, U/S 406, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady R/o Sector-27/D, Chandigarh who alleged that a lady R/o Sector-38, West, Chandigarh cheated complainant in the name of investing money in kitty’s. Alleged lady has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 222, U/S 406, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady R/o Sector-52, Chandigarh who alleged that a lady R/o Sector-51/B, Chandigarh cheated complainant in the name of investing money in kitty’s. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 308, U/S 279, 337 IPC Act has been registered in PS-I.T Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of Alok Omkar R/o Room No.5, near PNB Bank, Village-Kansal, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab who alleged that driver of car No. (Not confirm) sped away after hitting to complainant’s Motor Cycle No. UP-32DY-6517 near Railway Light Point, Chandigarh on 13.12.2018. Complainant got injured and admitted in Fortis Hospital. Investigation of the case is in progress.
