Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 03 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 03 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 03 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-26= 1 case, PS-MM = 2 cases.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Rahul Garg R/o # 2602, Sector-56, Chandigarh 8.) Pitanbar Dutt R/o # 1241, Saini Vihar, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab 9.) Rakesh Kumar R/o # 103, Sector-33, Chandigarh 10.) Parmod Kumar R/o # 3396, Sector-27/D, Chandigarh 11.) Surinder Kumar R/o # 1628, Village-Burail, Chandigarh 12.) Ranjit Singh R/o # 809, Sector-38/A, Chandigarh while they were gambling at # 3147, Sector-44/D, Chandigarh on 16.12.2018. Total cash Rs. 4,12,350/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 436, U/S 3-4-13 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later they released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Sh. P.S Pruthi R/o # 662, Sector-11, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Diamond Ring from his residence on 14.12.2018.  A case FIR No. 354, U/S 381 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A girl resident of Sector-17, Panchkula, Haryana alleged that unknown person stolen away complainant’s I-Phone mobile from Purple Frog Cafe, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 15.12.2018.  A case FIR No. 376, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Robin Singh R/o # 2193/B, Block No.15, Sector-63, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person stolen away 04 alloy wheels of complainant’s  Scorpio car No.PB-05AA-8481 while parked near his residence on night intervening 15/16.12.2018. A case FIR No. 220, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Sh. Krishan Kumar R/o # 232, Gali No.8, Shanti Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Qualis Car No. CH-03A-6048 while parked in parking of Shivalik Garden, Manimajra, Chandigarh on night intervening 01/02.12.2018. A case FIR No. 467, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Vikash Verma R/o # 1514/1, Sector-34, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Honda City Car No. AP-28AX-5808 while parked near his residence on night intervening 13/14.12.2018. A case FIR No. 435, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Sh. Sonu R/o # 206, Village-Burail, Chandigarh reported that two unknown persons on Motor Cycle snatched away his mobile phone and cash Rs. 1,000/- near Light Point, Sector-43/A, Chandigarh on 16-12-2018. A case FIR No. 438, U/S 379, 356, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault

Sh. Mohammad Aslam R/o # 799, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh alleged that Amir Khan R/o Jhuggi No. 192, near Shiv Mandir, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh attacked on complainant and his sister-in-law with knife at his residence on 15.12.2018. A case FIR No. 307, U/S 323, 324, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-I.T Park, Chandigarh. Both got injured and admitted in Civil Hospital, Manimajra, Chandigarh and later both referred to GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Alleged person namely Amir Khan has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel

A case FIR No. 441, U/S 323, 341, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sachin Sharma R/o # 612/2, Milk Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh who alleged that Didar Singh R/o # 3295, Sector-35/D, Chandigarh, his brother and one other person beaten & threatened complainant near # 106, Sector-35, Chandigarh on 16.12.2018. Alleged person namely Didar Singh arrested in this case. Later he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 440, U/S 279 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Didar Singh R/o # 3295, Sector-35/D, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of car No. CH-01BF-2801 namely Sachin Sharma R/o # 612/2, Milk Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh hit to complainant’s car No. CH-05(T)-9985 near H.No. 106, Sector-35, Chandigarh on 16.12-2018. Accused person namely Sachin Sharma arrested in this case. Later he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Eve-teasing

A lady resident of Distt.-Mohali, Punjab alleged that Sanjeev Kumar R/o # 183/2, Akhada Bazar, Kullu, HP and Vikas Sharma R/o # 182, Akhada Bazar, Kullu, HP threatened to complainant, used abusive language & gesture intending to insult the modesty of complainant near exit gate ISBT, Sector-43, Chandigarh on 16.12.2018. A case FIR No. 439, U/S 506, 509, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.  Investigation of the case is in progress.
