One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-I.T Park, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later he bailed out.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Mehraj R/o Room No.19, C/o Togga, Gurudwara Wali Gali, Village- Khudda Lahora, Chandigarh from Dhanas Road to PGI Light Point and recovered 15 injections of Buprenorphine and 15 injections of Pheniramine Meleate drugs from his possession on 14-12-2018. A case FIR No. 353, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Sh. Gagandeep R/o Village-Badalgarh, Distt.-Fatehabad, Haryana reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Zen Car No. HR-01R-0045 while parked near village-Kaimbwala Turn, Chandigarh on 09.12.2018. A case FIR No. 245, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

        Sh. Mani Ram R/o # 350, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s auto No. CH-01TA-2921 while parked near # 2154, Sector-19, Chandigarh on 13.12.2018. A case FIR No. 335, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 375, U/S 279, 337 IPC Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ashish Thakur R/o # 1647, Sector-23/B, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of vehicle No. CH—1779 who hit to Activa scooter No.HR-04G-5519 at P.S.-East Chowk on 13.12.2018. Driver of activa namely Gyan Chand Walia R/o # 3546, Sector-35/D, Chandigarh got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 463, U/S 279, 427 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector-37, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of car No. HP-22C-5620 sped away after hitting to complainant’s car No. CH-01AN-3952 at Kala Gram Light Point, Chandigarh on 13.12.2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Sh. Varinder Pal Singh Bal R/o # 135, Sector-36/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away battery from complainant’s Scorpio car while parked outside # 135, Sector-36/A, Chandigarh on night intervening 13/14-12-2018. A case FIR No. 432, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 244, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh against Karan Bajaj R/o # A4-303, Nirmal Chhaya Tower, VIP Road, Zirakpur, Punjab who late night open his SCF No.17, First Floor, Sector-9/D, Chandigarh without any information to local Police and violated the orders U/S 144 Cr.P.C of DM, UT, Chandigarh. Later he bailed out.
