Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 04 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 04 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 04 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-11 = 1 case, PS-17 = 1 case, PS-ITP = 1 case, PS-39 = 1 case. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested for theft

Sh. Rajat Kumar R/o # 701, Sector-22/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen complainant’s laptop from his residence on 09-12.2018. Later alleged person Ankit Chandan R/o # 2586, Sector-22/C, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 376, U/S 380, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for robbery

Santosh R/o Village-Hallo Majra, Chandigarh alleged that two persons robbed away cash Rs. 1500/- near Plot No.82, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh on 09-12-2018. Later one of the accused Sonu R/o # 186/68, Sanjay Labour Colony, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh was apprehended by public near the spot.  A case FIR No. 348, U/S 394, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Alleged person Sonu has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 349, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh against Anarma Kumar R/o # 3950, Mauli Jagra Complex, Chandigarh who did not give information of tenant and violated the orders U/S 144 Cr.P.C of DM, UT, Chandigarh. Later he bailed out.

MV Theft

          Sh. Jaspreet Singh R/o # 615, Sector-20/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01BH-5519 while parked in ground near Shyam Fashion Mall, Sector-34, Chandigarh on 02-12-2018. A case FIR No. 431, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Eve-teasing

A girl alleged that Parveen R/o # 2180, Sector-40/C, Chandigarh eve-teased and threatened complainant near # 2180, Sector-40/C, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 465, U/S 354, 354/A, 504 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 299, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the statement of HC. Ranbir Singh 2817/CP against driver of Ciaz Car No. CH-01DT-0334 namely Harjinder Singh R/o # 151, Sector-11, Chandigarh who hit to L/C Bharti Ravat No.3177/CP (pedestrian) near Botanical Garden, Sarangpur, Chandigarh on 09-12-2018. She got injured and admitted in PGI, Sector-12, Chandigarh. Alleged person arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 430, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the statement of Sharanjit Singh R/o # 1142, Sector-34/C, Chandigarh against driver of Activa Scooter No. CH-01BB-3532 namely Abhijit Singh R/o # 1356, Sector-35/B, Chandigarh who hit to One old person namely Gurmeet Singh R/o # 1699, Sector-33/D, Chandigarh near Gurudwara Sahib, Sector-34, Chandigargh on 06-12-2018. The person namely Gurmeet Singh got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
