Library Extension of Reading Hall inaugurated at PU

Chandigarh December 7, 2018

On the persistent demand of students to provide more reading space to students, an  Extension of Reading Hall of A.C. Joshi Library was today inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar at Guru Teg Bahadur Bhawan, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The present reading Hall in A.C. Joshi Library accommodates around 500 students. This additional space would accommodate approximate 150 students at present which will be increased in future. The Reading Hall will remain open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on all week days.

Prof. Shankarji Jha, Dean University Instructions, Prof. Emanual Nahar, Dean Student Welfare, Prof. Neena Capalash, Dean Student Welfare (W), Ms. Rashmi Yadav, Librarian, Prof. R.K. Singla, Computer Centre, Sh. R.K. Rai, XEN, Sh. Anil Thakur, Deputy Executive Engineer were also present.
