Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-17 & 34, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later they bailed out.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Two arrested for theft

Sh. Sunil Kumar R/O# 407, Dera Sahib Mohalla, Mani Majra, Chandigarh alleged that two persons namely Gopal andBasant Kumar had stolen his Zen car No. CH-03L-9568. On 30.11.2018, complainant caught both accused persons red handed with his stolen car near MHC parking area, Manimajra, Chandigarh.  A case FIR No. 451, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Alleged persons namely Gopal R/o # 561/2, Bhainsa Tibba, Distt. Panchkula HR age 23 years and Basant Kumar R/o # 278, Pipli Wala Town Mani Majra, Chandigarh age 18 years have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 230, U/S 279, 427 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Nitish Kumar R/o # 38, Mohalla Sakhen Madan Kasbah, Ghinghana Rural, Distt-Shamli (U.P) who alleged that driver of Activa Scooter No. CH-01BN-5622 namely Krishan Kumar R/o # 406/23, Naya Gaon, Distt. Mohali (PB) had hit to complainant’s Alto car No UP-16AA-2559 at Press Light Point, Chandigarh on 27.11.2018. Driver of Activa Scooter arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

        A lady resident of EWS Colony, Part-II, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh alleged that unknown pedestrian person snatched away her purse containing cash Rs. 5000/-, ATM card & mobile phone near Plot No. 48, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 30.11.2018. A case FIR No. 339, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

        Sh. Pardeep Mandal R/o # 1706/1, Sector 45, Chandigarh alleged that two unknown persons occupant of Mahindra Gusto Scooter snatched away mobile phone and purse containing Rs. 8000/-, ATM cards and documents from complainant at dividing road, Sector 45/46, near Dev Samaj College, Chandigarh on night intervening 29/30.11.2018. A case FIR No. 421, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

        Mohamed Salim R/o # 5882, Sector-56, Chandigarh alleged that three unknown person’s beaten/threatened complainant near Kali Mata Mandir, Sector 56, Chandigarh on 29.11.2018. In this regard, a case FIR No. 453, U/S 323, 341, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
