Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 02 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 02 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 03 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:-  PS-03= 1 case, PS-39= 1 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

MV Theft

Sh. Vinod Kumar R/o # 2035, Sector-27/C, Chandigarh, reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa No. CH-01AX-4527 while parked near Punjab National Bank, Sector-28, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 356, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 337, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the statement of Hawa Singh R/o # 3848, Sector-25, Chandigarh against driver of Tractor No. HR-35J-1554 namely Manoj Kumar R/o Jhuggi Singa Devi Road, Village-Naya Gaon, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab who hit to complainant’s activa No. CH-01BM-0534 near Yellow Hotel, Naya Gaon Barrier to Khuda Alisher Road on 18.11.2018. Injured person namely Hawa Singh R/o # 3848, Sector-25, Chandigarh got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Alleged person arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 334, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the statement of Malkit Singh R/o Village Uplehdi, PO- Ugani, PS-Rajpura, Distt.- Patiala, Punjab against driver of Innova Car No. HR-38L-3842 namely Dharminder Yadav R/o # 337, Sanjay Labour Colony, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh who hit to CTU Bus No.CH-01GA-5359 near Railway Bridge, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh on 17.11.2018. Both persons namely Malkit Singh & Dharminder Yadav got injured and admitted in GH-32, Chandigarh. Alleged person arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Sh. Raj Kumar R/o # 109, Sector-31/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Battery from complainant’s Bolero car No. RJ-49AU-0180 while parked near his house on night intervening 17/18-11-2018. A case FIR No. 424, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
