One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later he bailed out.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Lalit Kumar Mandal R/o # 1668, near inner Maszid, Burail, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near New Labor Chowk, Sector-44, Chandigarh on 24.10.2018. Total cash Rs. 310/- was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 386, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Abhishek R/o # 3603, Bhaskar Colony, Sector-25, Chandigarh near turn, Govt. Toilet, Sector-25, Chandigarh and recovered 30 Injections of Buprenorphine and Pheniramine Meleate from his possession. A case FIR No. 318, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Sh. Ajay Kumar R/o # 1089/2, Sector-39/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 5 water taps, 1 angle walve, 2 wash basins and 1 wash basin mixer from his residence on 23.10.18. A case FIR No. 419, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV theft

Sh. Saurav R/o # 2555/2, Sector-44/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Honda City Car No.CH-01BL-6214 while parked near Gurudwara, Sector-34, Chandigarh. A case FIR No.385 has been registered in PS-34 Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
