Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 03 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 03 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 03 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-19 = 3 cases.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Two arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Jai Bhagwan Singh R/o # 1173, Phase-1, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh from near Raman Gas Agency, Phase-2, Ramdarbar while illegally possessing 12 boxes of Country made liquor on 19.10.2018. A case FIR No. 401, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Shailender Kumar R/o # 1275, Deep Complex, Hallomajra, Chandigarh from near Kacha Rasta, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 96 quarters of Country made liquor on 19.10.2018. A case FIR No. 402, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested for theft

Sh. Kiran Kumar R/o #131, Sector-20/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Air Conditioner from his residence on 19.10.2018. Later persons namely Sahil R/o # 69, near Atta Chakki, Gali No.100, Balongi, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab & Ajay Yadav R/o # 542, Village-Kaimbwala, Chandigarh have been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 301, U/S 380, 411, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against carrying Arms without permit

A case FIR No. 380, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh against Ravinder R/o Village-Bhani Amipur, Distt.-Hisar, Haryana who was arrested near Neelam Hotel, Burail, Chandigarh while he was carrying 32 Bore Pistol along with 12 live cartridge without permit in Chandigarh on 19.10.18. He was carrying license valid only in Haryana. Later he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Sh. Om Parkash R/o # 2362, Sector-20/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cash Rs.10,000/-, 03 wrist watches, 10-12 Gold Nose Pin, 02 diamond Nose Pin, 10-12 Silver Coin, 03 silver glass, 04 silver katori, silver photo, 02 payer silver payal, 01 gas cylinder, power bank, pen drive, Samsung VR Gear Box from his residence on 19.10.18. A case FIR No. 302 U/s 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rioting

A case FIR No. 214, U/S 147, 149, 324, 341 & 506 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Surinder R/o # 4888/2, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh who alleged that Ravi @ Tila, Karan, Swaran, Solly, Sagar @ Kufri and 01 unknown person quarreled & attacked on complainant near park in front of 4^th story quarters, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh on 18.10.2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/Outrage Modesty of Women

        A person resident of Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh alleged that Brahm Dutt @ Lucky, Ghutnu, Kuldeep, Methi, Kakku & others resident of Chandigarh assaulted, threatened complainant and his daughter near complainant’s residence on 19.04.2018. A case FIR No. 310, U/S 147, 149, 323, 341, 354 & 8 POCSO Act has been registered in PS-Industrial Area, Chandigarh. Later on alleged persons namely Brahm dutt @ Lucky R/o # 761/A, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh, Kuldeep R/o # 751/A, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh, Harinder @ Kakku R/o # 756/A, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh, Sandeep @ Methi R/o # 751/A Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh arrested & 02 juveniles also apprehended and sent to juvenile home. MV Theft

Sh. Navdeep R/o Boys Hostel No.3, Punjab University, Sector-14, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away his Splendor M/Cycle No. HR-06N-6533 while parked in hostel parking on night intervening 16/17-10-2018. A case FIR No. 312, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No.309, U/S 279 IPC has been registered in PS-Industrial Area, Chandigarh on the statement of Ram Minister Yadav R/o # 194, F-Block, Colony No. 4, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Loading Truck No. PB-65K-9689 hit to cow near Govt. School, Colony No.4, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh on 18.10.2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No.414, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the statement of A lady R/o Sector-24/C, Chandigarh who alleged that a lady driver of Polo Car No.PB-11AM-5959 hit to complainant’s activa No.CH-01BJ-0603 near Ambedkar Bhawan, Sector-37, Chandigarh on 09.10.2018. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMCH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
