Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 02 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 02 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 03 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-Sarangpur = 1 case, PS-19 = 1 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Missing/abducted

A case FIR No. 206, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of a person resident of Village-Khuda Lohra, Chandigarh who reported that his son age about 15 years went to DAV Lahore School, Sector-8, Chandigarh on 17.10.18 and missing since then. Later Missing boy traced out.

A case FIR No. 213, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Monika Sharma, Warden Snehalya, Bal Grah, Village- Maloya, Chandigarh who reported that a boy age 10 years has been missing/abducted from Snehalya, Village- Maloya, Chandigarh since night intervening 17/18.10.18. Later Missing boy traced out.

Three arrested for try to Snatching

A lady R/o # 132, NIC, Chandigarh alleged that 03 ladies try to snatch her gold chain near Gulati Shoes Shop, Manimajra, Chandigarh. Later alleged persons namely Sandhya, Preeti & Sangeeta all R/o Jhuggi, near Railway Station, Ambala, Haryana have been arrested from near MDC Turn, Manimajra, Chandigarh in this case.  A case FIR No. 424, U/S 379, 356, 511, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
