Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 13 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 13 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 13 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-11 = 2 cases, PS-17 = 2 cases, PS-Sarangpur = 5 cases, PS-31 = 3 cases, PS-39 = 1 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested for Burglary

Sh. Sunil Kumar Thakur, Site Incharge, HR Kohli Corp. Ltd., Maloya, UT, Chandigarh R/o # 2791/2, Sector-47C,Chandigarh reported that three unknown persons were stealing electric wires and switch boards after breaking the locks of rooms at Site, Block No. 10-11, Housing Board, Maloya, Chandigarh on 07.10.2018. Complainant nabbed one person namely Rahul and other two ran away from the spot. Alleged person Rahul R/o Room No. 12, Raja Farm, Village Maloya, age 19 years has been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 209, U/S 454, 380, 34, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Sector 33A, Chandigarh reported that one unknown person ran away after snatching her gold chain at Sabji Mandi, Sector 34, Chandigarh on 07.10.2018. A case FIR No. 363, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Ashish Attri R/o # 246, Vill-Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH01AS-5223 from parking of Botanical Garden, Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 262, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Lavish Mahajan R/o # 580/1, Sector-41A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Bolero Maxi Truck No. CH01TA-2843 while parked near H.No. 778 Sec 41A, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 406, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
