Rs 30 lac cash seized during surprise checking by Patiala Police

Patiala, august 25, 2018 : Patiala Police, on Saturday, hit a Jackpot and recovered Rs 30 lac as unaccounted cash money during surprise checking for drugs in the buses coming from Ambala (Haryana) to Rajpura city area .

A senior official of Patiala Police told newsmen that during the checking in one of the buses ,it was noticed that a man started behaving suspiciously.

The police team searched his belongings . A bag full of cash was found from his possession . The amount was found to be Rs 30 lac.

The man carrying bag failed to failed to disclose the source of this cash. Suspecting the money as  Hawala transaction ,the police informed the Income tax authorities for taking further action.
