SPO Mudasir Ahmad Lone was abducted by three militants from his home at Chainattar village on Friday evening, a police official said.
Militants have abducted another special police officer (SPO) at gunpoint from his home in Tral area of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Saturday.

Security forces have launched an operation to rescue the abducted policeman, he said.
“A manhunt is on to trace the SPO. He was working as a cook in Awantipora police lines,” a police officer said.
The incident has come nearly a week after a Jammu and Kashmir Police constable was abducted and killed by militants.
Constable Saleem Shah, who was undergoing taining at Kathua, was also abducted from his home at Mutalhama village in Kulgam. He had gone to his home on leave.
The militants reportedly took Saleem to an unknown place before killing him.
On July 6, Constable Javaid Ahmad Dar was abducted from Vehil in Shopian. He was found dead near a stream by local residents in Pariwan, Kulgam the next day.
