Society for Divine Reiki Meditation (NGO) organised its 3rd Blanket distribution drive. Around 300 blankets were distributed to the persons sleeping in corridor of Sector 18 & 7 markets.

Mehak Singh, Secretary of the NGO said that main motive of the drive is to provide support to the poor people who live in corridors of markets in shivering cold. These blankets will protect 300 persons and get them sound sleep without any fear and worry. This drive is a small effort to provide some relief and protection to them from cold.

Tanu Arora, coordinator of the drive said that destitute people who live in corridors of markets are bound to face the cold without woolen clothes and blankets. There will definitely be reduction in the number of deaths with such drives.

Lovleen Kaur, President Senior Citizen Forum and Shikha Nijhawan, President RWA Sector 27 Chandigarh praised the efforts of the NGO Volunteers in serving the needy time and again.
