Action against illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Amit Kumar R/o # 295, DMC, Chandigarh (Age-30 Years) and recovered 82 quarters of country made liquor from his possession near Sheetla Mata Mandir, MDC, Chandigarh on 29.09.2023. A case FIR No. 119, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Vijay R/o # 810, Hudda, Sector-19, Distt. Panchklua (Hry) (age-45 yrs), while he was consuming liquor and created nuisance near Post Office, Sector-19, Chandigarh on 29.09.2023. A case FIR No. 84, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

          Distt. Crime Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Ashok Kumar Vishundev Mahtoward No. 10 Ratanmala West Champaran Bihar (age-35 yrs) and recovered 985 grams of charas from his possession, near Ziri Mani Chowk, Chandigarh on 29.09.2023. A case FIR No. 120 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Pawan Kumar Garg R/o # 151, Sector-44/A, Chandigarh (age-84 years) reported that unknown person who stole away complainant Rs 1.80 lakh, voter card and senior citizen card from his house on 29-09-2023. A case FIR No. 153 U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh.  Investigation of the case is in progress.
