AN OUTREACH ACTIVITY TO CELEBRATE AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV

Koral ‘Purnoor’, Demokretic Front, Chandigarh – August 25, 22 :

Prof. Anju Suri, Dean College Development Council, Panjab University, Chandigarh, in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad, Chandigarh, organized an outreach academic-cum-cultural programme to mark celebrations of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Prof. Anju Suri, DCDC and a team of Panjab University faculty including Prof. Monika Munjial, Prof.Gaurav Verma, Dr. Priyatosh Sharma and Dr. Neeraj Kumar Singh interacted with school children of Government Model High School, Sector 22, Chandigarh, and in their respective talks apprised them of what Azadi means to us today, what the role of young school children is in enjoying Azadi today, how they can contribute to preserve the Azadi and integrity of our nation and how the spirit of patriotism be kept alive in hearts of each and every Indian.

The school children on their part staged colourful cultural performances comprising of recitation of patriotic songs, poems, couplets, thus celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav with the enthusiastic spirit.  The Memontos, refreshments and prizes were distributed amongst the students by Dean College Development Council, Panjab University, for their participation in celebrations of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The programme ended with mutual vote of thanks for collaborative event held by DCDC, Panjab University, Chandigarh, with the support of Principal Madam Anuradha Gupta and school staff and esteemed members of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Mr. S.C. Aggarwal, Mr. Mahajan and Mr. Malhotra.
