“The Marginalized: Continuities and Changes,”

             A Faculty Development Programme from 2-8 March, 2022 on “The Marginalized: Continuities and Changes,” organised by Prof. Sheena Pall, Coordinator, Dr B.R. Ambedkar Centre and Dr. Priyatosh Sharma, Chairperson, Department of History, Panjab University, Chandigarh in collaboration with Human Resource Development Centre, started today with lectures by eminent scholars.  The Chief Speaker of the inaugural session, Prof. Devinder Singh, stated that the marginalised should be uplifted in all spheres of life.  Prof. Reicha Tanwar, Former Director, Women Studies Research Centre, Kurukshetra University underscored the need to end the marginalisation of women in higher educational institutions.  She stated that interdisciplinary research, gender main streaming and affirmative action was needed to bring about gender equality.
