Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 158, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh against Brij Bhushan Sukhla, Manager, Midnight Chef/Restaurant, SCO No. 331-332, Sector 35/B, Chandigarh who opened the said restaurant beyond the permissible time limit on 05.09.2021, thus violated the orders of District Magistrate, UT, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Bhupinder Singh R/o # 1202, Deep Complex, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh while he was consuming liquor at a public place near Makhan Majra road, Dariya, Chandigarh on 05.09.2021. A case FIR No. 138, U/s 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out.

Two arrested under arms act and fake currency

Chandigarh Police arrested Ashwani R/o # 1120, Sector-7/B, Chandigarh (Age-36 years) and Subhash R/o # 2595, Sector-25, Chandigarh (Age-32 years) Chandigarh and recovered two knives and fake currency of Rs. 40,000/- from their possession near outer parking, Cremation Ground, Sector-25, Chandigarh on 05.09.2021. A case FIR No. 119, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act & 489C IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested for cheating

          A case FIR No. 139, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sagar Chand R/o # 176, Milk Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh who reported that two unknown persons withdrawn Rs. 50,000/- from complainant’s account by swapping his ATM card at HDFC ATM, Village Dhanas, Chandigarh on 01.08.2021. Later two persons namely Kuljit Kumar @ Guddu R/o # 147, Village Dhanas, Chandigarh (Age-29 Years) and Rajat R/o Gali No. 5, in front of Gurudwara, Jhujhar Nagar, Distt. Mohali, PB (Age-23 Years) have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

          A case FIR No. 139, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Prem Lal R/o # 1419, Janta Colony, Naya Gaon, Distt. Mohali, (PB) who reported that two unknown persons took away cash Rs. 50,000/- from complainant by cheating at PNB Bank, Sector 16, Chandigarh on 26.08.2021. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 171, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Bhanu Parkash R/o Village Targheel, P.O. Taran, Distt. Bilaspur (HP) who alleged that driver of unknown car sped away after hitting to complainant’s M/Cycle No. HP-23A-3646 near KBDAV Light Point, Sector-7, Chandigarh on 02.09.2021. Complainant got injuries and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          A lady resident of Ph-11, Mohali (PB) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. PB-65N-6809 parked near Sector-19/27, dividing road Sector-19, Chandigarh on 19-08-2021. A case FIR No. 52, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

         Wasim Ahmed R/o # 1119/2, Gobindpura, Mani Majra, Chandigarh reported parked at open ground in front of Gate No. 3, MHC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on night intervening 29/30-08-2021. A case FIR No. 152, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
