Two arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Suraj @ Golu R/o # 435, Daddu Majra Colony, Chandigarh (Age 22 years) and recovered 16 gram heroin from his possession near Slip Road, Ziri Mandi Chowk, Sector-39, Chandigarh on 10.06.2021. A case FIR No. 146, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Ajay Kumar R/o # 671/1, Sector-38/A, Chandigarh (age 40 years) and recovered 24 injections of Buprenorphine and pheniramine maleate drugs from his possession near light point, Sector-39/40, Chandigarh on 10.06.2021. A case FIR No. 147, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Ravi Kumar R/o # 6576/C, Sector-56, Chandigarh and recovered 39 quarters of country liquor from his possession at back side Furniture Market, Sector-53, Chandigarh on 10.06.2021 and. A case FIR No. 108, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Later, he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling

  Chandigarh Police arrested Sandeep Kumar R/o # 2122, Ambedkar Colony, Dhanas, Surjit Kumar R/o # 2166, Ambedkar Colony, Dhanas and Babu Ram R/o # 116, Village Badheri, Chandigarh while they were gambling near Public Toilet, Village Badheri, Chandigarh on 10.06.2021. Total cash Rs. 3500/- was recovered from their possession. A case FIR No. 148, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Deterred public servant from govt. duty

          A case FIR No. 32, U/S 332, 353 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ved Parkash, SIE, MCC, Chandigarh against Bhavik Ranjan R/o # 3159, Sector-27/D, Chandigarh who quarreled with complainant and his staff and also deterred them while they were removing encroachements at Sadar Bazar, Sector-19, Chandigarh on 10.06.2021. Bhavik Ranjan has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

          Gainda Lal R/o # 40, Sector-28/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away charger of inverter, grass cutting machine, aluminum stairs from his house on the night intervening 08/09-06-2021. A case FIR No. 135, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          A lady resident Shanti Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that two unknown persons stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01AV-9384 parked in front of her residence on night intervening 09/10.06.2021. A case FIR No. 111, U/S 379, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.        

          Mahendra Kushwaha R/o # 76/2, Village-Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s E-Rickshaw No. CH-01TE-2240 parked near his house on the night intervening 30/31-05-2021. A case FIR No. 66, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.    

          Hitesh R/o # 2296/C, Block 33, Sector-63, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Motor Cycle No. HR-23E-2201 parked near his house on 09.06.2021. A case FIR No. 38, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.    

          A lady resident of Sector 63, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. PB-04Y-9627 parked near her house between 02.06.2021 to 10.06.2021. A case FIR No. 39, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
