One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Vinay R/o # 997, Village-Kishangarh, Chandigarh (age 26 years) at Naka near Dolphin Chowk, IT Park, Chandigarh and recovered 20 gram heroin from his possession on 01.06.2021. He also violated the curfew orders issued by DM, UT, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 53, U/S 21 NDPS Act & 188 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested with illicit liquor

          A case FIR No. 76, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act & 188 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh against Mohit R/o # 610, Ph-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh who was arrested near Ravidass Mandir, Ph-1, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh on 01.06.2021 and 12 bottles of whisky have been recovered from his possession. He also violated the curfew orders issued by DM, UT, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Disaster Management Act

A case FIR No. 105, U/S 188 IPC & 51B Disaster Management Act 2005 has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh against Garib Das R/o # 324, Village-Kajheri, Sector-52, Chandigarh who was arrested while roaming near Dispensary, Village Kajheri, Chandigarh and violating curfew orders issued by the DM, UT, Chandigarh on 01.06.2021. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Trespassing/Deterred public servant from govt. duty

          A case FIR No. 131, U/S 379A, 353, 452, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ct. Sumer Singh 2/726/HAP, Guard Duty at H.No. 20, Sector 7/A, Chandigarh who alleged that Atharva Chaudhary R/o # C-103 GF, May Field Garden, Sector-50, Gurugram (HR) and a lady forcibly entered at H.No. 20, Sector 7/A, Chandigarh and deterred complainant from his duty and also snatched his watch on 01.06.2021. Both persons have been arrested in this case. Investigation of case is in progress.

MV Theft

Arvind Kumar R/o # 101, Saketri, Distt-Panchkula (HR) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Tavera car No. HR68-6153 parked near Taxi Stand, Pocket No. 1, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 22.05.2021. A case FIR No. 105, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Sector 47, Chandigarh alleged that two unknown persons on black splendor motorcycle sped away after snatching gold chain of complainant near H.No. 2773, Sector 47C, Chandigarh on 01.06.2021. A case FIR No. 75, U/S 379-A, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Attempt to commit suicide

   A case FIR No. 133, U/S 309 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of a person resident of sector-40/D, Chandigarh who reported that his wife attempted suicide at her residence on 01.06.2021. She has been admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/Quarrel

   A case FIR No. 134, U/S 323, 324, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Dev Singh R/o # 2103, Sector-37/C, Chandigarh who reported that three unknown person attacked on complainant with sticks and pipe at ground near his residence on 01.06.2021.  He got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
