Action against Gambling

          Chandigarh Police arrested Mohd. Yashin Ratan Lal, Krishan Kumar, Malkit Singh and Robin Singh, while they were gambling, near Railway track, Chaudhary Charan Singh Colony, Maulijagran, Chandigarh on 08.04.2021. Total cash Rs. 18500/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 31, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Maulijagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 49, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh against Mithai Lal R/o  Shop No. 169 (Punjabi Dhaba), Old Ropar road, Manimajra, Chandigarh who disobeyed the orders of DM by opening the shop beyond the permissible time limit on 08.04.2021. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

      Chandigarh Police arrested Gulshan (26 years) R/o # 725/11 BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh, near Dharam Kanta, TPT Area, Sector-26, Chandigarh and recovered 400 gram ganja from his possession on 08.04.2021. A case FIR No. 57, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Pankaj Panday R/o # 22, Kaimbala, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s TVS Motor Cycle No. CH-01BX-4144 from Petrol pump, Sector 7 on 11.03.2021. A case FIR No. 56, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing /Abduction

          A person resident of Sector 49, Chandigarh reported that his daughter aged about 17 years has been missing from his residence since 06.04.2021. A case FIR No. 21, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault

A case FIR No. 46, U/S 324 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vijay R/o # 1109 PH-1 Ram Darbar, Chandigarh who alleged that Rajat R/o # 1055 PH-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh quarreled and assaulted complainant with Iron rod, near PH-2 Ram Darbar, Chandigarh on 07.04.2021. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMCH-32. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rioting

A case FIR No. 40, U/S 147, 149, 336, 427, 506 IPC and 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of a Davinder R/o # 4950/2, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh who reported that 4/5 unknown persons occupant of white Scorpio car No. HR79A-5908 smashed the windscreens of complainant’s Tata safari car No. CH03Y-2674 and his neighbor’s Zen car No. CH01W-7684 while the vehicles parked near his residence on 08.04.2021. They also fired 4/5 round gunshot in the air and threatened them. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A case FIR No. 49, U/S 379-A IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector 23, Chandigarh who reported that two unknown person on motorcycle snatched away her gold chain near her residence while she was purchasing fruits in the evening on 08.04.2021. Investigation of the case is in progress.
