Action against Gambling/satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Aman Dhiman R/o # 14, Sector-3, Panchkula, while he was playing Satta near Sports complex, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 03.03.2021. Total cash Rs. 2015/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 36, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Baljit Singh R/o # 357, NADA Sahib, Panchkula, while he was playing Satta near BSNL turn, MHC, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 03.03.2021. Total cash Rs. 2410/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 37, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

          Chandigarh Police arrested Manik R/o # 627, Ashok Nagar, Satwari near Airport Jammu (Age 25 years) and recovered 07 gram of heroin from his possession near Milk Booth, Sector-22, Chandigarh on 03.03.2021. A case FIR No. 33, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

 Chandigarh Police arrested Surjit Singh R/o # 1124/2, Deep complex, Hallomajra, Chandigarh (age 46 years) and recovered 78 quarters of Discount premium whiskey from his possession near Dispensary, Hallomajra, Chandigarh on 03.03.2021. A case FIR No. 29, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 12, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh against unknown driver of car No. DL-2C-AN-6714, who ran away after left the car near Naka entry point, Sector-63, Chandigarh on 03.03.2021. On the search of the car 216 bottles of whiskey recovered. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

          A case FIR No. 33, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the statement of Harwinder Singh R/o # 260, Sector-51, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of unknown car hit to motorcycle No. HR20N-9446 and sped away near Sector-51/52 dividing road on 02.03.2021. Unknown motorcyclist got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

         Devender Kumar R/o # 18, Sector-33, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa No. CH04A-9700 while parked near Fregrence garden, Sector-33, Chandigarh on 23.02.2021. A case FIR No. 34, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
