One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

 Chandigarh Police arrested Rajinder Gupta R/o # 446, Village Kaimbwala, Chandigarh (age 34 years) and recovered 2 boxes containing 24 halves & 48 quarters of whiskey from his Auto No. CH-04L-9116 near Cactus Park, Ph-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh on 23.02.2021. A case FIR No. 26, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Shalu R/o # 569, Sector-38A, Chandigarh (age- 30 years) and recovered 200 strips of drugs Tramadol Pervorin-SPAS capsules from his possession near Electricity Pole No. 25, Sector 40 C&D turn, Chandigarh on 23-02-2021 A case FIR No. 59 U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          Chandigarh Police arrested Hira Lal R/o # 6618/B, Sector-56, Chandigarh while consuming liquor near Wine Shop, Village Palsora, Chandigarh on 22-02-2021. A case FIR No. 57, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Accused later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

         Bhagwan R/o # 1415, Pushpak Complex, Sector-49D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Innova car No. CH01-AL-3177 while parked near slip road, PHQ, Sector 09, Chandigarh on 23.02.2021. A case FIR No. 15, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          A lady resident of Sector-37, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH03V-6270 which was parked near her house on the night intervening 22/23-02-2021. A case FIR No. 58, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Jasbir Singh Gill R/o Plot No. 4, TPT Area, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away battery & tool kit from his Truck No. HR37-D-3255 parked near the said plot on 23-02-2021. A case FIR No. 40, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later one person namely Karan Kanchi R/o # 104/B, Sunder Nagar, Part-2, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh aged 18 years along with one juvenile has been apprehended in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Amrit Lal Aggarwal R/o Plot No. 163, Ph-2, Ind. Area, Chandigarh reported that unknown person is committing theft of iron bolts at his factory. A case FIR No. 27, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A girl R/o Sector-44, Chandigarh reported that unknown persons on Activa Scooter sped away after snatching complainant’s purse containing mobile phone, 2 credit cards, 3 debit cards & documents near H.No. 2278, Sector-44C, Chandigarh on 23.02.2021. A case FIR No. 36, U/S 379A, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
