One arrested under NDPS Act

          Chandigarh Police arrested Kashish resident of 3289, Sector-23D, Chandigarh (age 22 years) near light point, Sector-23/24, Chandigarh and recovered  5 Grams Heroin and 24 injections of Buprenorphine and Pheniramine Maleate drugs from his possession on 05.02.2021. A case FIR No. 18, U/S 21 & 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One person arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          Chandigarh Police arrested Deepak R/o # 06, Village Buterla, Sector-41B, Chandigarh while consuming liquor near Departmental Store, Sector-42C, Chandigarh on 05-02-2021. A case FIR No. 21, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Bharat Bhushan R/o 425, Swastik Vihar, Patiala Road, Zirakpur (PB) while he was playing satta at public place near Light Point Mansa Devi Road, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 05.02.2021. Total cash Rs. 3150/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 22, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

          A case FIR No. 12, U/S 279, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the statement of ASI Arveen Kumar, CRPF, Naka Post Toga Barrier, Chandigarh who reported that driver of unknown truck sped away after rashly & negligently driven his vehicle due to which one Duster car No. HR-26CA-5668 struck with the truck at Togan Barrier Light Point, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 05.02.2021. Driver of car namely Waris Quameruddin R/o # 2435/B, Sector 125, Sunny Enclave, Kharar, Distt Mohali, (PB) (age about 30 years) got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh, where he expired during treatment. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Child Labor

A case FIR No. 13, U/s 14(1) Child Labor (Prohibition & Regulation) Act 1986 has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ramphal Kataria Labour Inspector, Grade-2, Chandigarh against Rishi R/o Ms. Rishi Marbles, Marble Market, Dhanas, Chandigarh who engaged a child as labor at his shop. The child was rescued by joint team of DCPU and AHTU. Alleged person arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 34, U/s 3 Child Labor (Prohibition & Regulation) Act 1986 has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Prem Sagar, Labour Inspector R/o Labour Welfare Building, Sector-30, Chandigarh against Raju R/o SCO No. 39, Grain Market, Sector-26, Chandigarh who engaged a child as labor at his shop. The child was rescued by joint team of DCPU and AHTU. Investigation of the case is in progress.
