          Chandigarh Police arrested Moham Lal resident of Distt. Kullu, (HP) (age 34 years) near Tribune Chowk near turn Hotel Rajshree, Phase-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh and recovered 6.5 Kg Charas from his possession on 04.02.2021. A case FIR No. 19, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Colony No. 4, Chandigarh and recovered 12 bottles of country liquor from her possession near Plot No. 86, Phase-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 04.02.2021. A case FIR No. 21, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One person arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          Chandigarh Police arrested Safak R/o # 290, Block-K, Colony No. 4, Phase-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh, while consuming liquor near Wine Shop, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 04.02.2021. A case FIR No. 23, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Sandeep Paswan R/o Darshani Bagh, Manimajra, Chandigarh and Akhilesh resident of Budhanpur, Moli, Chandigarh, while they were gambling at backside of Vishavkarma Mandir, Darshani Bagh, Manimajra, Chandigarh, on 04.02.2021. Total cash Rs. 3030/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 21, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Rahul Kaushik R/o # 738, Sector 19, Panchkula (HR) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s motorcycle No. HR77-6298 parked near Hotel Lemon Tree, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 05-01-2021. A case FIR No. 20, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Kamal Singh Negi R/o # 616, Village Dariya, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s motorcycle No. CH01BF-5982 from parking area at MW Market, Ph-1, Ind.  Area, Chandigarh on 02-02-2021. A case FIR No. 24, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Gopal Gill R/o # 804, Govindpura, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s motorcycle No. CH-04J-9024 parked near his residence on the night intervening 27/28-01-2021. A case FIR No. 19, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
