Two persons arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Ashu and Ravi Kumar both R/o # 317, Sector-29, Chandigarh, while consuming liquor near fish market, EWS Dhanas, Chandigarh on 21.01.2021. A case FIR No. 06, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Harmanjot R/o # 82, Labour Colony, Gill Chowk, Ludhiana (PB) and recovered 25 boxes of whisky from his Safari car No. PB29X-2433 at back side of SCO No 100, sector 47C, Chandigarh on 21.01.2021. A case FIR No. 12, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Ramesh Chander R/o # 1576, Sector 7, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Honda city car No. CH01AC-5985 while parked near his residence on night intervening 20/21.01.2021. A case FIR No. 17, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sanju R/o # 2014, DMC, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Honda Dream M/Cycle No. CH01BN-5552 while parked near public toilets, Sector 40D, Chandigarh on 20.01.2021. A case FIR No. 18, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 12, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Unknown car sped away after hitting to Activa Scooter No. HR03S3035 driven by his colleague Surinder Kumar R/o Flat No. 6A, Silver Crik 01, Zirakpur, Mohali (PB) near Plot No. 6, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 21.01.2021. Complainant (pillion rider) and driver Surinder Kumar both got injured and and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Later Surinder Kumar declared dead at GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
