Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Mahmub Alam R/o Gobindpura, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, Usman Khan R/o Part-2, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, Tasir Ahmad R/o Gobindpura, Mani Majra, Chandigarh while they were gambling near public toilet, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 23.12.2020. Total cash Rs. 750/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 195, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later they were bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Sanjay @ Rothanliya R/o Ph-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh (age 46 years) and recovered 84 quarters of country liquor from his possession near Bus Stop, Ph-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh on 24.12.2020. A case FIR No. 237, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault

A case FIR No. 238, U/S 323, 341 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint Neeraj R/o # 01, Indra Awas Colony, Ph-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh who alleged that Vicky @ Hariom R/o Indra Awas Colony, Ph-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh assaulted complainant’s wife and also attacked on complainant with knife near his house on 22.12.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Ranjit Singh R/o # 1196, Saini Vihar, Ph-2, Baltana, Zirakpur (PB) Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away cooper wires from 8 outdoor AC units installed at roof top of Competent Finman Pvt, Ltd., SCO No. 201-203, Sector-34A, Chandigarh on 23-12-2020. A case FIR No. 243, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 398, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Manu Raj Malhotra R/o # 1251, GF, Sector-43/C, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Innova car sped away after hitting to  complainant’s car No. CH-01BW-1177 near Dainik Bhaskar Chowk, Sector 37/38/24/25, Chandigarh on 22.12.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 399, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Gursewak Singh R/o Village-Nandpura Kalora, Distt- Faithgarh Sahib (PB)  who alleged that driver of Auto No. CH-04K-8118 namely Pankaj Sharma R/o # 96, Village-Buterla, Sector-41, Chandigarh hit to motor cycle No. PB-11BL-8993 driven by complainant’s cousin namely Jaskaran Singh near Badheri Chowk, Sector 41, Chandigarh on 22.12.2020. He got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Alleged person arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
