Chandigarh Police arrested Anit @ Anna R/o # 130, Village Sarangpur, Chandigarh (age 21 years) driver of bullet motorcycle No. PB27E-1899 and recovered 1 sharp knife from his possession at naka near light point, inner road Mullanpur to Dhanas, Chandigarh on 08.12.2020. A case FIR No. 140, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Paramjit Singh R/o # 243, Village Dadumajra, Chandigarh (Age 36 years) and recovered 1 Kg poppy husk from his possession near transport area, Sector 26, Chandigarh on 08.12.2020 . A case FIR No. 182, U/S 15 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Rinku R/o # 1181, Sector 25, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Apache Motorcycle No. CH01BP2919 parked near # 1205, Sector-25, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 142, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Monty R/o # 3388, Green City, Village Machiwara, Distt. Ludhiana (PB) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Pulsar Motorcycle No. PB43E6540 parked at the backside of New OPD, PGI, Chandigarh on 04.12.2020. A case FIR No. 143, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Panchkula (HR) harassed the complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 88, U/S 406, 498A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Panchkula (HR) harassed the complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 90, U/S 406, 498A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rioting

A case FIR No. 235, U/S 147, 148, 149, 186, 332, 353, 269, 270 IPC, Section 3 of the prevention of damage to public property Act 1984 and Section 3 of the Epidemic Disease Act 1897 has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh against Kripal Singh, Pratik Singh, Mehar Singh, Kulwinder Singh, Ladi Pannu, Rambir Singh, Gurnam Singh, Sukh khurd, Balwant Singh, Kulbir Singh and others who pelted stones, obstructed govt. duty, damaged public property and violated the guidelines of COVID-19 and orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh near Gurudwara Sahib, Sector-34, Chandigarh on 09.12.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.
