One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of DMC, Chandigarh and recovered 24 quarters of country made liquor from her possession near Taxi stand, Sector 38 West, Chandigarh 03.12.2020. A case FIR No. 169, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 107, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh against Deepak R/o # 234, Janta Colony, Naya Gaon, distt. Mohali, Assistant Manager at Pipe and Barrel club, SCO No. 156-157, Sector-9, Chandigarh who served hukka to customers at said club on 02.12.2020 and violated the orders of District Magistrate, UT, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for theft

Satender Rai R/o # 58/128, Subhash Nagar Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away LPG gas cylinder from complainant’s residence on the night intervening 02/03.12.2020. A case FIR No. 205, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later one person namely Lakhan R/o # 726/24, BDC, Sector 26, Chandigarh (age 24 years) has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Proclaimed Offender

A case FIR No. 220, U/S 174A IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh against Subhash chand R/o # 835, Sector-9, Ramgarh road, Kharar, Mohali, (PB) who was declared Proclaimed Offender and did not appear before the Hon’ble Court in pursuance of issuance of the proclamation.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that unknown person ran away after snatching cash Rs. 9500/- from the complainant at the backside of Hair Saloon, SCO No. 181-182, Sector-9, Chandigarh on 02.12.2020. A case FIR No. 108, U/S 379A IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 377, U/S 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Partap Chauhan R/o # 3369, Sector 51, Chandigarh who alleged that Jagdeep Singh and others R/o # 124, Village Buterla, Sector-41, Chandigarh cheated Rs. 19,35,000/- from complainant regarding sale of H.No. 124, Village Buterla, Sector-41, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 170, U/S 419, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Raghubir Singh R/o # 48, Golden city Mundi, Kharar, Sector-4, Mohali, (PB) who reported that a person namely Jeetender Kumar R/o Seekara Bilaspur, Chattisgarh cheated Rs. 1,50,000/- from complainant regarding selling of car on OLX. Investigation of the case is in progress.
