Chandigarh Police arrested Nishu R/o # 52, Village-Hallo Majra, Chandigarh and recovered 28 quarters of country liquor near Dispensary, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh on 14.10.2020. A case FIR No. 198, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sahil R/o # 4510, Village-Maloya, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away M/Cycle No. CH-01BD-8519 parked at back side of Aroma Hotel, Sector-22, Chandigarh on 18.09.2020. A case FIR No. 175, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Vineet Kumar R/o # 5, Block No. 117, Sector-32/A, ITBP Campus, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away Pulsar M/Cycle No. HP28-9980 from the parking area near Piccadilly Mall, Sector-34, Chandigarh on 06.10.2020. A case FIR No. 200, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Vikas Kumar R/o # 1101, Sector-52/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away Discover M/Cycle No. UP-20Z-5169 from parking near SCO No. 319, Sector-40/D, Chandigarh on 14.10.2020. Gurmail Singh R/o # 545/2, Village-Maloya, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away M/Cycle No. CH-04B-4120 from near his Shop near Bus Stand, Maloya, Chandigarh on 18.09.2020. A case FIR No. 149, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Abetment to suicide

A case FIR No. 127, U/S 306, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Abdul Hamid R/o # 3136/B, LIG Flats, Sector-52, Chandigarh who alleged that his brother’s wife, mother-in-law and brother-in-law namely Sahil all R/o # 1875, DBC, Sector 25, Chandigarh used to harass complainant’s brother namely Abdul Rajak due to which he committed suicide at Small Flats Dhanas, Chandigarh on 22.09.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft by wrongful confinement

A case FIR No. 191, U/S 342, 382 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Dr. Shivshankar Pathak R/o # 3586, Sector-35, Chandigarh who alleged that Jagsir Singh who was working as Care Taker of complainant’s brother confined complainant at his house and took away cash Rs. 15,000/- and 2 mobile phones on 14.10.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Extortion

A case FIR No. 192, U/S 323, 452, 384, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of a person resident of Chandigarh reported that Rinku, Chaitan Munjaal and Javed demanded extortion money Rs. 20,000/- by beaten/threaten complainant on 30.09.2020. Alleged persons namely Rinku R/o # 511, DMC, Chandigarh and Chaitan Munjaal R/o # 3048, Sector-50, Chandigarh have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
