One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Ram Pal @ Bittu R/o # 3757, Sector-56, Chandigarh and recovered 48 quarters of country liquor from his possession near dividing road, Sector 55/56, Chandigarh on 08.10.2020. A case FIR No. 307, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against gambling 

Chandigarh Police arrested Mahesh Paswan R/o # Jhuggi No. A-8, Adarsh Colony, Sector-54, Chandigarh, Bhola R/o Jhuggi No. A-78, Adarsh Colony, Sector-54, Chandigarh, Nathin Paswan R/o Jhuggi No. B-32, Adarsh Colony, Sector-54, Chandigarh and Shoukat R/o Chunni Road near Main Road Morinda (PB) while they were gambling near Public Toilet, Sector-54, Chandigarh on 08.10.2020 and recovered cash Rs. 2330/- from their possession. A case FIR No. 308, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Jaspreet Singh Malra R/o # 1027, Sector-35B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away Verna car No CH-01AL-5070 parked near Govt. School, Sector-35C, Chandigarh on 06-10-2020. A case FIR No. 189, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

   A case FIR No. 173, U/S 406, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ashish Sharma R/o SCO No. 3, Sector-7, Chandigarh against Manish Nagpal R/o SCO No. 339-40 Sec-35/C, Chandigarh that alleged person cheated/misappropriated Rs. 4,50,000/- regarding lease out of his SCO No. 339-340, Sector-35, Chandigarh to the complainant company. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A person resident of Hallo Majra, Chandigarh reported that his daughter aged about 16 years has been missing from her house since 07.10.2020. A case FIR No. 193, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
