One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Banti Kumar R/o # 341, Village Khadag Mangoli, Gate No. 3, Majri Chowk, Panchkula, Haryana (age 34 years) and recovered 20 boxes (containing 12 bottles each) of country liquor while possessing in I-20 car No. CH01BZ-4767 near turn, Wine Shop, Dariya, Chandigarh on 06.10.2020. A case FIR No. 183, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against gambling/satta 

Chandigarh Police arrested Dharmender Kumar @ Dharma R/o # 2993, Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh (age 33 years) while he was playing satta near Khera Mandir, Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh on 06.10.2020 and cash Rs. 1430/- was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 185, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Pawan Kumar @ Bagga R/o # 2238/15, Street No. 09, Shanti Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh (age about 48 years) and recovered 200 gm Opium from his possession at road near Bitta Petro Pump, MHC, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 06.10.2020. A case FIR No. 155, U/S 18 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating/forgery

          A case FIR No. 171, U/S 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint Naib Tehsildar, Estate Office, Sector-17, Chandigarh against Lal Chand R/o # 294A, Block-F, Colony No. 4, Chandigarh who had applied for the allotment of EWS Flats under Small Flats Scheme 2006 in the year 2011. That he had submitted forged documents in the name of his wife who died in the year 1990. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/Quarrel

          A case FIR No. 126, U/S 323, 324, 341, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Keshkamal R/o # 356, Khudda Lahora, Chandigarh who alleged that Sanju Ram, Ravi Kumar and 3 others assaulted complainant with kirpan near # 356, near Dhaliwal Complex, Khudda Lahora, Chandigarh on 06.10.2020. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Two alleged persons namely Sanju Ram R/o # 104, Village Sarangpur, Chandigarh, Ravi Kumar R/o # 356, Village Khudda Lohra, Chandigarh have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Pushpinder Kumar Grover R/o # 5133/3, Modern Housing Complex, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away aluminum door, window and some utensils from the garage of his house on 06.10.2020. A case FIR No. 154, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Rajender Thakur R/o # 3387, Sector-27C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH04J-6676 parked near KFC parking, Sector-8, Chandigarh on 09.09.2020. A case FIR No. 87, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rajesh R/o # 3085, Sector-29D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Apache M/Cycle No. CH01BN-0828 parked near parking of Block No. 1, Sector-63, Chandigarh on 05.10.2020. A case FIR No. 65, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Ramesh Kumar Gupta R/o # 16/3, Raipur Kalan, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s E-Rickshaw No. HR2020T/R4637AE parked at Meat Market, Shastri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 02.10.2020. A case FIR No. 190, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
