Three arrested for gambling 

Chandigarh Police arrested Mahavir Singh R/o # 1134, Indra Colony, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, Anil Kumar R/o # 367/1, Bori Wali Gali, Village-Daria, Chandigarh and Ram Avtar R/o # 1072, Indra Colony, Mani Majra, Chandigarh while they were gambling near VTC Yard, Village Dariya, Chandigarh on 03.10.2020 and recovered cash Rs. 4000/- from their possession. A case FIR No. 181, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 125, U/S 279, 337, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Mani Rana R/o # 121, near GSSS, Dhanas, Chandigarh against driver of TATA 407 No. PB65J-6296 which hit to complainant’s motorcycle No. CH04F-4596 near Wine Shop, Milk Colony Dhanas Chandigarh on 04.10.2020. Complainant’s wife and daughter got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh where a girl aged about 8 years was declared brought dead. Driver of Tata 407 namely Bhuvan Sahni R/o Village Jalaha, Distt. Motihari East, Champaran, Bihar was arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 145, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh against driver of TATA Ace No. CH01TA-3845 which sped away after hitting motorcycle No. CH01BV8930 driven by Rahul R/o # 609/1, Small Flats, Maloya, Chandigarh near 600 Block, EWS Colony, Maloya Chandigarh on 03.10.2020. Motorcyclist got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Mohmad Firoz R/o # 634, Village-Faidan, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Bajaj M/Cycle No. PB-65AB-7207 which was parked near Shop No. 27, Sector-43/B, Chandigarh on the night intervening 03/04-10-2020. A case FIR No. 188, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A lady resident of Sector 38A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away a cycle which was parked near her house on the night intervening 03/04-10-2020. A case FIR No. 301, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Uttar Kumar R/o # 1437, Sector 40B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away Atlas cycle which was parked near his house on the night intervening 03/04-10-2020. A case FIR No. 302, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Attempt to Theft

Charanjeet Grover, Manager, Punjab National Bank, Maloya, Chandigarh reported that unknown person attempted theft at ATM machine of PNB at Booth no 220, Market, Sector 39, Chandigarh 04.10.2020. A case FIR No. 303, U/S 380, 511 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
