Attempt to murder/Assault

          A case FIR No. 122, U/S 307, 34, 341, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Deepak Chand R/o # 4186, Sector-56, Chandigarh who alleged that his wife and brother-in-law namely Ankit R/o Village Sankarpur, Distt. Dehradun, Uttrakhand attacked on complainant with a scissor at the parking area near Dainik Bhaskar building, Sector 25, Chandigarh on 01.10.2020. Complainant got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Later both alleged persons have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Causing death by negligence

          A case FIR No. 162, U/S 304A IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the statement of Amrit Lal R/o # 2061A, EWS Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh against Ramavtar R/o # 3167, Sector 27D, Chandigarh due to his negligence two persons Jitender and Biru electrocuted in water tank at his house on 01.10.2020. Both were declared dead at GH-16, Chandigarh. Alleged person arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

          Chandigarh Police arrested Shamshad Ali R/o # 1641, Main Bazar, Manimajra, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near parking area of RIMT School, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 01.10.2020. Total cash Rs. 2230/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 152, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Chandigarh Police arrested Vinod Kumar R/o # 2024, Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh (age 26 years) while he was playing satta near # 2015, Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh on 01.10.2020. Total cash Rs. 1340/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 180, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Amit Kumar R/o Gautam Nagar, Gohana, Sonipat, (HR) alleged that three unknown persons on a motorcycle snatched away the cash Rs. 3000/- from complainant at Part 2, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 01.10.2020. A case FIR No. 179, U/S 379A, 356, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Disaster Management Act

A case FIR No. 187, U/S 51B Disaster Management Act 2005 has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh against Naresh Dilawari R/o # 3440, Sector-35D, Chandigarh who went out of containment zone and violated the guidelines of containment zone from # 3437 to 3443, Sector 35D, Chandigarh on 30.09.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.
