One person arrested for disobeying orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 162, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh against Naveen R/o #181/B, Mauli complex, Chandigarh who was arrested while roaming without pass permission during lockdown hours near elante Mall, Chandigarh on 18.08.2020. He disobeyed orders of the DM, UT, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

 One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Vivek Sabarwal R/o # 731, Sector-40, Chandigarh  (Age 48 years) and recovered 12 injections (Buprenrphine and Pheniramine Maleate) and 25 bottles of cough syrup (Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Codeine Phosphate of 100 ML) from his possession, near Football Ground, Sector-17, Chandigarh on 18.08.2020. A case FIR No. 148, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault

A case FIR No. 168, U/S 323, 354, 354-B, 506, 509, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Chandigarh who alleged that a lady and her husband resident of Chandigarh quarreled/threatened and also molested her near her residence on 16.08.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 169, U/S 147, 149, 323, 506, 352 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Chandigarh who alleged that a lady and her husband alongwith 3/4 other persons all they attacked on complainant and beaten/threatened her and her husband near her residence on 16.08.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Subham R/o # 1860, DBC, Sector-25, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away Motorcycle No. CH01BC-7616 while parked near his house. A case FIR No. 107, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Avnish R/o # 409/A, Gurdev nagar, Pabhat Nagar, Zirakpur reported that unknown person stole away Motorcycle No. CH01BJ-1123 while parked near SCO No. 1085, Sector-22/B, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 147, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Mukesh Kumar R/o # 984, Tin Colony, Sector-52, Chandigarh reported that unknown person snatched his mobile phone, near H. No. 3733, Sector-56, Chandigarh and run away on 18.08.2020. A case FIR No. 259, U/S 379-A IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

 Virender Pal R/o # 3203, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh reported that Lalit Parshad R/o # 30, Barakot, Lohaghat, Distt- Champawat, Uttarakhand, driver of I-20 car No. UK-03B-9291 who hit to his father’s bicycle near Taxi Stand, Sector-29, Chandigarh on 17.08.2020. A case FIR No. 161, U/S 279, 337, 304-A IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Resultantly complainant’s father namely Chheterpal aged 70 years got injured and lifted to GMCH-32, Chandigarh, where he was died during treatment on 18.08.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.
