One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police Rajesh R/o # 80/82, Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh while he was consuming liquor at a public place at parking near Wine Shop, Sector-22C, Chandigarh on 11.08.2020. A case FIR No. 141, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Kishanpal R/o # 2000, Phase-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh and recovered 25 quarters of country liquor from his possession in Aviator Scooter No. CH01-BA-1179 near Hanuman Mandir, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh on 11.08.2020. A case FIR No. 170, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

A lady resident of Sector 27D, Chandigarh, reported that unknown person stole away Honda City Car No. CH03X0083 parked near her residence between 08.08.2020 to 10.08.2020. A case FIR No. 141, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Attempt to theft

A case FIR No. 175, U/S 380, 511, 427 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kikar Singh, Channel Executive, Hitachi Payment Service Pvt Ltd, R/o # 136/2, Sector 55, Palsora, Chandigarh who reported that unknown person tried to broke the ATM and CCTV Camera at Axis Bank ATM, Booth No. 44/1 Subhash Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh and attempted to theft on the night intervening 10/11-08-2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.
