Notorious Snatcher Nabbed

Chandigarh police achieved a major success by nabbing 01 notorious criminal namely  Sagar Kumar S/O Surender Kumar R/O House No.12 Bank colony Mani majra age 23 hours, who is  involve in snatching case and  vehicle theft cases.

            The brief facts of the case are that on dated 02.04.2020, FIR NO.49,U/S 379-A,356 IPC added 411 IPC was registered in this Police station  on the complaint of  Smt.Poonam Kumari w/o Jawalla Parsad R/O h no. 378, Mohalla Dera sahib Gurudwara, Mani Majra, Chandigarh. Age-48 yrs. she  stated that she was purchasing vegetable from vendor  from near  her street in the meantime 01 activa rider looking hindu gentle man came from her behind and snatched her gold chain  weight approx 15 gm and fled away from the spot.

          During course of investigation a team was constituted in the supervision of  SDPO/East alongwith INSP/SHO PS Mani Majra including other police officials and on secret information a naka was laid down near railway under bridge near Town and on the identification of complainant the accused person namely Sagar Kumar S/O Surender Kumar R/O House No.12 Bank colony Mani majra age 23 years has been arrested alongwith stolen activa  no.HR-03-U-9568 which was stolen from Rajiv Colony Panchkula and stolen gold chain  of above mentioned case  has been recovered from his possession ,During further investigation accused person disclosed that he has also committed 01 snatching in the area  of Mani Majra and 01 vehicle theft and  by arresting the accused 03 cases of this police station i.e., FIR NO.49,dated 02.04.2020 U/S 379-A,356 IPC added 411 IPC FIR NO.53, 03.04.2020U/S 379 IPC added 411 IPC regarding stolen of Honda AVAITOR No. CH01AY 4395, WHITE Color which was  recovered from parking area of shivalik garden Mani Majra   and FIR NO.41, dated 23.03.2020 U/S 379-A IPC added 411 IPC regarding the snatching of gold chain which  has been recovered from back side Bitta petrol pump on the identification of complainant.
