One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against a person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 11.03.2020. Later he was released on bail.

Attempt to murder and Arms act

          A case FIR No. 34, U/S 307 IPC & 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Const. Pardeep R/o # 410, Tribune colony, Village Kansal, (PB) who alleged that Constable Raj Karan R/o # 157/8, Govind Nagar, Naya Gaon, Mohali, (PB) fired on complainant with pistol near MLA Hostel, Sector-03, on 09.03.2020. Investigation of case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 43, U/S 279, 341 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of lady resident of Mohali (PB) who alleged that driver of car No. PB65M-9419 namely Farman Khan R/o Village Sohana, Distt. Mohali, (PB) had wrongly parked his car and blocked the path of complainant’s car near Patel Market, Sector-15, Chandigarh. He also drove and moved his vehicle while she tried to stop and prevent him by sitting on bonnet of the car. Accused arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 34, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Maulijagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sahil R/o # 4177, Mouli complex, Chandigarh reported that unknown driver of unknown car sped away after hitting to his mother (Pedestrian) namely Rekha Devi near Prachin Shiv Mandir, Railway Road, Mouli complex, Chandigarh on 10.03.2020. She got injured and admitted in GMCH-32 and later referred to PGI.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 39, U/S 279, 304-A has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of ASI Ram Dhan against driver of Indigo car No. CH01AS-9339 who sped away after hitting to a cyclist near Snehalya Maloya, Chandigarh on 10.03.2020. Cyclist namely Sham Lal R/o # 4511, Maloya Colony (Age 63 years) got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh, where he was declared brought dead. Later car driver namely Tarvez Alam R/o Village Ahujapur, Distt. Bijnour, (UP) arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Negligent conduct with respect to animal

A case FIR No. 43, U/S 289 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector-30, Chandigarh alleged that pet dog of Prem Chand R/o # 132/B, Sector-30B, Chandigarh bitten to complainant’s niece near her house on 10.03.2020. Alleged person arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of case is in progress.

Trespass

A case FIR No. 44, U/S 448, 511, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady tenant at # 1022/1, Gas Colony, Dariya, Chandigarh reported that landlord namely Govind Mishra and her daughter resident of Village Dariya trespassed in complainant’s residence by breaking the locks on 11.03.2020. Accused arrested in this case. Investigation of case is in progress.

Snatching

Navjeet Sharma R/o # 314, Ground Floor, Sector-51A, Chandigarh reported that two unknown person on motorcycle snatched away complainant’s mobile phone near # 1, Sector-51A, Chandigarh on 11.03.2020. A case FIR No. 23, U/S 379A IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
