Four arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          Four different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-17 & Ind. Area, Chandigarh against four persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public places on 29.02.2020. Later they were released on bail.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Rohit Kumar R/o # 2895, DMC, Chandigarh and recovered 10 Gram Heroin from his possession near VITA Booth, Sec-38 West, Chandigarh 29.02.2020. A case FIR No. 32, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sandeep Singh R/o VPO Chakk Kalan Singh Wala, Distt. Muktsar Sahib, (PB) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Hero Honda M/Cycle No. PB30P-5793 from General Hostel, Sector-15, Chandigarh on 27.02.2020. A case FIR No. 33, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Latha Kher R/o # 2375-C, Sec 70, Mohali (PB) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. PB65F-4064 parked near National Insurance, SCF-133, Sector-17C, Chandigarh on 27.02.2020. A case FIR No. 31, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

          A case FIR No. 37, U/S 279, 429 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sita Ram R/o # 504, Shashtri Nagar, Mani Majra, Chandigarh against Bhavuk Kumar R/o # L-141/A, Railway Colony, Kalka, Distt. Panchkula (HR) driving Verna car No. HR-51AS-1691 which hit to complainant’s horse cart near Shashtri Nagar Light Point on 29.02.2020. Resultantly, complainant’s horse died on the spot. Car driver arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress. 

Cheating

          A case FIR No. 29, U/S 420, 511, 467, 468, 471, 120B, 177 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Suresh Kumar, Naib Tehsildar, Estate Office, Sector-17, Chandigarh against Sumer Bahadur R/o Jhuggi No. K-712, Sector 56, LBS Colony, Chandigarh, one lady and Ram Niwas R/o # 4111, LBS Colony, Sector 56, Chandigarh on account of impersonation and submitting wrong affidavit to obtain allotment of flat Under the Chandigarh Small Flat Scheme,2006. Investigation of the case is in progress.
