Three arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Three different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-03, Mauli Jagran & 49 Chandigarh against three persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public places on 27.02.2020. Later they were released on bail.

One arrested for Theft

Saudagar Singh R/o # 150, Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that Vishal R/o # 1472/B, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh, who was caught red handed while he tried to run away with stolen electric wire/cable from Tube Well at Botanical Garden, Sarangpur, Chandigarh on 27.02.2020. A case FIR No. 23, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Accused Vishal arrested in this case. Investigation of case is in progress.

Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Neeraj R/o # 1862, New Indra Colony, Mani Majra, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near Khera Mandir, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 27.02.2020. Total cash Rs. 870/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 35, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Ramkesh R/o # 671, Janta Colony, Sector-25, Chandigarh and recovered 48 bottles of country liquor near Tikona Park, DMC, Chandigarh on 27.02.2020. A case FIR No. 31, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against obstructing public way

A case FIR No. 36, U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-IT park, Chandigarh against Raju R/o # 88, Madrasi Colony, BDC, Sec-26, Chandigarh, who was arrested while he was obstructing public way with rehri/fari near Puja Plant Nursery, Shashtri Nagar, Manimajra on 27.02.2020. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 17, U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh against Uday Shyam R/o # 415/2, Sec-52, Chandigarh, who was arrested while he was obstructing public way with rehri/fari near BSNL turn Sector-50, Chandigarh on 27.02.2020. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/ Assault

Yudhveer Singh R/o Village Bamnara, Tehsil Chamkaur Sahib, Distt. Ropar (PB) alleged that Harwinder Singh and Parwinder Singh both R/o # 1162, near Bus Stand, Mullanpur Mohali (PB) beaten and threatened complainant near Gate No. 1, PGI, Chandigarh on 27.02.2020. Complainant got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 32, U/S 323, 341, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Both alleged person have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Attempt to murder

Neeraj R/o # 769, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh alleged that Sahil, Akash @ Giyani, Karan, Suraj, Deepak, Faisal, Ritik, Manu attacked on complainant and his brother Vishal with knife and punch in front of mobile shop near Govt. School, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh on 27.02.2020. Complainant and his brother both got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 34, U/S 307, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that two unknown persons occupant of motor cycle snatched away complainant’ gold chain with locket near Shop No. 258/D, Gali No. 2, Shanti Nagar Mani Majra on 27.02.2020.  A case FIR No. 32, U/S 379-A, 356, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Mischief by fire

          A case FIR No. 45, U/S 435 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Arvind Shah R/o # P-922, Teen Colony, Sector-52, Chandigarh against unknown person who set fire on complainant’s Auto No. CH-04L-9013 parked near his residence on 27.02.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.
