Dowry

A lady resident of Panchkula alleged that her husband & others resident of Sector 49, Chandigarh harassed her to bring more dowries. A case FIR No. 17, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Theft

Bhisham Panday R/o Room No. 36, MLA Hostel, Sector-4A, Chandigarh alleged that former employees Karan R/o # 37, Sector-10, Chandigarh and Arjun R/o # Gurunanak Gym Wali Gali, Adarsh Nagar, Naya Gaon, Mohali (PB) stole away compressor of AC and motor of ducting cooler from terrace of Booth No. 45, Sector-9D, Chandigarh on 24.01.2020. A case FIR No. 06, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Alleged person have been arrested in this case. Investigation of case is in progress.

IT Act

          Dr. Vipul Aggarwal R/o # 541, Sector-11-B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person called to complainant regarding refund process from paytm and sent some links at registered his mobile number on 30.12.2020. Complainant was asked to share personal details to initiate refund process. Later, complainant received transactions messages of total Rs. 40,000/- from his SBI Accounts. A case FIR No. 19, U/S 420 IPC & 66C, 66D IT Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that unknown person uploading her family photographs on facebook website without complainant’s knowledge and consent. A case FIR No. 14, U/S 66C IT Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 25, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of a girl (pedestrian) resident of Sector 37D, Chandigarh against unknown driver of unknown car which was sped away after hitting to complainant near Sector 37/38/40/41 chowk, Chandigarh on 19.01.2020. Complainant got injured and admitted in hospital. Investigation of case is in progress.

Other case

A case FIR No. 11, U/S 135(1)(B), 135 (1)(D) Electricity Act 2003 has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of SDO, Electricity Operations, Sub Division No.9, Sector-43, Chandigarh against Pal Singh R/o # 437, Village Kajehri, Chandigarh, who was using electricity through direct (Kundi) connection since his electricity meters had been disconnected. Investigation of case is in progress.
