Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Narender @ Brijmohan R/o # 730/8, BDC, Sec-26, Chandigarh and Narender Kumar R/o # 282/A, Village-Daria, Chandigarh while they were gambling near CITCO Yard, Village Daria, Chandigarh on 18.01.2020. Total cash Rs. 4020/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 19, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Later they were bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Islaam Khan R/o # 2111, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and recovered 40 injections of Bupernorphine and Pheniramine Maleate drugs from his possession near Shiv Mandir, Railway Road, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 18.01.2020. A case FIR No. 06, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Ajay Kumar R/o # 13, Gali No-3, Kharak Mangoli, Panchkula (HR) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s M/Cycle No HR03-T-8905 parked near Punjab and Sindh Bank, Madhya Marg, Sector-26 Chandigarh on 12.01.2020. A case FIR No. 14, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Gurdial Singh Gill R/o # 230, NAC, Shivalik Enclave, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH04-E-6045 parked near Shivalik Garden, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 18.01.2020. A case FIR No. 11, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Deepak Yadav R/o # 195/2, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH01-BE-0631 parked at Kachi Parking, Distt Court, Sector-43, Chandigarh on 04.11.2019. A case FIR No. 06, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Theft

Manoj Kumar, DGM Accounts c/o Indian Acrylics LTD, SCO No. 49-50, Sector-26, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away Cash Rs. 2,19,670/- and Aadhar Card from locker after breaking the cash cabin glass door on 18.01.2020.  A case FIR No. 15, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector-39B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away mobile phone, purse containing DL, Pan card, SBI Debit card, PGI ID Card and Cash Rs. 6000/- from Gurudwara Santsar Sahib, Sector-38W Chandigarh on 18.01.2020.  A case FIR No. 11, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Proclaimed Offender

A case FIR No. 07, U/S 174A IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh against M/s. Anshu Construction through its Prop. Kamlesh Singh R/o # 4033 Sector-46D, Chandigarh who declared Proclaimed Offender on 31.08.2019 and does not appear before the Hon’ble Court in pursuance of issuance of the proclamation.  Investigation of case is in progress.

Cheating

          A case FIR No. 18, U/S 406, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the direction of Hon’ble Court on complaint of Mithlesh Kumar R/o Plot no. 169, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh against Sonu R/o Village Budhanpur, Jind, Haryana and Pardeep Kumar R/o # 119, Sahi Majra, Teh. SAS Nagar, Distt. Mohali (PB). Alleged person had taken the vehicle registration no. CH01TB 2389, Mahindra bolero maxi truck, of the complainant to run for commercial activity as a driver/conductor, but have not returned the vehicle thereafter and have not rendered any account. The vehicle was taken on 27.6.2019 and has not been returned back till date. Investigation of case is in progress.
