Three arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Three different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-17 and PS Ind. Area, Chandigarh against three persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 15.01.2020. Later they were released on bail.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Harish Kumar @ Happy R/o # 13/7, Krishna Colony, Gali No.2, Hansi, Hisar (HR) Age 32 years           and recovered 20 gram heroin/ smack from his possession near Sector-31/Ind. Area, Phase-2 light point 15.01.2020. A case FIR No. 09, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Sarangpur, Chandigarh harassed her to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 04, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband & other resident of Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh harassed her to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 05, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Assault on Public Servant

          A case FIR No. 08, U/S 332, 353 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh on the complaint of Constable Amit Kumar of PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh against driver of Scorpio car No.HR70G-0004 who along with two other occupants of same car quarreled/beaten and deterred complainant from govt. duty near Mansa Devi road turn, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 15.01.2020. Investigation of case is in progress.

Theft

A lady resident of Ph-3B2, Mohali (PB) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s purse containing 2 passports, Aadhar card, pan card, HDFC Debit and Credit Cards, Almirah keys, Cheque Book and Cash Rs.4000/- after breaking back window pane of her Honda Jazz car No. PB11BB7317 while parked at parking Cremation ground, Sector-25, Chandigarh 15.01.2020. A case FIR No. 12, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector-23D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away one ring and cash Rs. 15,000/- from her house after breaking the locks on 15.01.2020. A case FIR No. 11, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
