Chandigarh Police got a major success in arresting accused Amit involved in the double murder case

Korel, 02.01.2020:

           Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police got a major success in arresting accused Amit s/o Mahipal r/o Village-LalitKhera, District-Jind, Haryana, age-23 yrs, who was involved in the double murder case of deceased Vineet Kumar and Ajay @ Ajjuoccurred in H.No.3556, Sector-15, Chandigarh on 19.12.2019. In the matter, case FIR No. 246 dated 19.12.2019 u/s 302, 34 IPC& 25-27-54-59 Arms Act, was registered in PS-11, Chandigarh.

            On 30.12.2019, on the secret information, three accused persons namely AnkitNarwal, Sunil @ SilluNandal and Vicky @ Kaliainvolved in the murder case of Vineet Kumar and Ajay @ Ajju were arrested by Crime Branch and recovered two country made pistols and 04 live cartridges as well as Polo Vehicle registration No.HR 70B 8075 used in murder case from their possession. Further, 05 days police remand of all three accused were obtained from the Hon’ble Court.

                        During the course of interrogation of arrested accused AnkitNarwal, Sunil @ SilluNandal and Vicky @ Kalia, 03 more pistolsand 03 live cartridges were recoveredfrom their instances which were used in murder of deceased Vineet Kumar and Ajay @ Ajju. Further, during the course of investigation, accused AnkitNarwalrevealed that one of their accomplices, namely Amit s/o Mahipal r/o Village-LalitKhera, District-Jind, Haryana, age-23 yrs who was involved in the murder incident and remained with them as driver of Polo vehicle used by themshall visit to one of his relatives in Sector-22, Chandigarh from NayaGaon, where, presently he is residing.

            Today, 02.01.2020, after getting the information, a trap was laid by a team of Crime Branch officialsheaded by Insp. Sher Singh and Sub Inspector Ashok Kumar on the direction of Sh. Rajeev Kumar Ambasta, DANIPS, DSP Crime under the close supervision of Inspector Ranjit Singh, I/C Crime Branch near PEC, Sector-12, Chandigarh. As per the information, team officials noticed that one person is coming on his foot towards NayaGaon side and moving to PGI side. After getting the confirmation, he was apprehended by team officials, and during the course of interrogation, he revealed his name asAmit s/o Mahipal r/o Village-LalitKhera, District-Jind, Haryana, age-23 and confessed that he was involved in the murder incident of Vineet Kumar and Ajay @ Ajju. After that the arrest of accused Amitwas made in case in FIR No. 246 dated 19.12.2019 u/s 302, 34 IPC& 25-27-54-59 Arms Act, PS-11, Chandigarh. Further, investigation of this case is going on.
