Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place
Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 18.01.2019. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.
Two arrested under NDPS Act
Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Ashish Kumar R/o # 101, Village- Sujanpur Tihra, Distt.-Hamirpur, Himachal Pradeshfrom T-Point near Reliance Tower, Rehri Market, Sector-45/D, Chandigarh and recovered 15.50 gram heroin from his possession on 18.01.2019. A case FIR No. 25, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Vikram @ Dubai R/o # 1458, Teen Colony, Sector-52, Chandigarh from T-Point near Jungle Area, Sector-53, Chandigarh and recovered 35 injections of drugs from his possession on 18.01.2019. A case FIR No. 24, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 15, U/S 302, 201 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh against unknown person who murdered a unknown person, Jungle Area Back Side, Colony No. 4 near Panchayat Public School, Chandigarh on 18.01.2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.
