Four arrested for possessing illegal liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Sonu Kumar R/o # 678, Village Burail, Chandigarh, while he was illegally possessing 7 bottles of country made liquor near # 792, Village Burail, Chandigarh on 12.12.2019. A case FIR No. 307, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Kaka R/o # 2034, DMC, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 50 quarters of country made liquor from parking near Govt. High School, Sector-38W, Chandigarh on 12.12.2019. A case FIR No. 204, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of case is in progress.

Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Rishipal @ Rishi R/o # 4668, Sector-38W, Chandigarh age 45 years, while he was illegally possessing 12 boxes containing 120 bottles & 120 quarters of country made liquor near Ramlila Ground, Sector-38W, Chandigarh on 12.12.2019. A case FIR No. 205, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Vicky R/o # 2938, DBC, Sector-25, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 9 boxes containing 95 bottles & 48 halves of country made liquor near Motor Market Road, Sector-38W, Chandigarh on 12.12.2019. A case FIR No. 206, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 239, U/S 279, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the statement of Babu Ram R/o # 1511, DMC, Chandigarh against unknown driver of Auto who sped away after hitting to complainant’s cyclist at light point Sector-15/16, Chandigarh on 12-12-2019. Complainant’s wife Shampati (age about 65 Years) sitting at rear of cycle got injured and lifted to GH-16, Chandigarh and later referred to PGI, Chandigarh where she expired later. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 306, U/S 279, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the statement of Ramesh Kumar Yadav R/o # 244/3, Small Flats, Maloya, Chandigarh against driver of Truck No. HR68B-9351 namely Shrikesh Rajbar R/o Plot No. 6, Delhi Shimla Goods Carrier, Sector-26, Chandigarh who hit to a cyclist namely Joginder Yadav R/o # 198, Block F, Colony No. 4, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh near Poultry Farm Chowk, Chandigarh on 12-12-2019. He was lifted to GMCH-32, Chandigarh where duty doctor declared him brought dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 264, U/S 279, 337, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh on the statement of Naresh Kumar R/o # 809, Kishangarh, Chandigarh against driver of Truck No. PB10DZ-6496 who hit to M/Cycle No. HR01AS-1846 driven by Ramesh Kumar R/o Vill. Bamba P.O Baknor Distt. Ambala near Ram Nursery Slip road near Shastri Nagar Light Point, Chandigarh on 12-12-2019. He was lifted to GMSH-16, Chandigarh where duty doctor declared him brought dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Rajeev Kumar R/o # 257/1, Village Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away Activa Scooter No. CH01AQ-0883 parked near his house on 12.12.2019. A case FIR No. 165, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Jaswinder Singh R/o Village Tira, Mohali, (PB) reported that unknown person stole away M/Cycle No. PB65AS-4655 parked near Market, Sector-40D, Chandigarh on 11.12.2019. A case FIR No. 448, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
