Discussion on dyslexia at PU

The third day of 21days’ National Program on Assessment and Management of Children with Learning Disabilities from 2^nd to 22^nd December 2019, organised by Centre for Academic Leadership and Education Management (CALEM), Department of Education, Panjab University, Chandigarh was initiated by Prof Raj K. Gupta (Program Coordinator).

In the first technical session, Ms.ApoorvaPanshikar from SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai informed the participants about meaning, signs and symptoms of Dyslexia. She explained about the areas of assessment in the second session. She stressed that parents often find it hard to accept that there is a real problem and hence most of the times they misinterpret the situation. In the subsequent session, she threw light on the varied tools use to diagnose children with dyslexia.
