One person arrested for consuming liquor at public place

           One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 21.11.2019. Later he was released on bail.

Five arrested for possessing illegal liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Om Pal R/o # 1414, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh,  while he was illegally possessing 16 quarters of country made liqour, near bus stand, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh on 21.11.2019. A case FIR No. 281, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Sanjeev Kumar resident of Distt. Hoshiarpur, Punjab, while he was illegally possessing 16 quarters of country made liqour, near Plot No.115, Ph-2, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 21.11.2019. A case FIR No. 282, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

          Chandigarh Police arrested Shelender Kumar R/o # 1275, Deep Complex, Chandigarh, while he was illegally possessing 16 quarters of country made liqour, near Hallomajra light point, Chandigarh on 21.11.2019. A case FIR No. 283, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Joseph R/o # 244, Hallomajra, Chandigarh, while he was illegally possessing 15 quarters of country made liqour, near Hallomajra, Chandigarh on 21.11.2019. A case FIR No. 284, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Subhash Parsad R/o # 1725, Deep complex, Chandigarh, while he was illegally possessing 16 quarters of country made liqour, near mandi ground, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh on 21.11.2019. A case FIR No. 285, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Snatching

          A lady resident of Sector 19, Chandigarh reported that two unknown boys occupants of motorcycle number not known, snatched away complainant’s gold chain near her residence on 21.11.2019. A case FIR No. 137, U/S 356 379, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Nane Lal R/o # 45, Village Sarangpur, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s auto No. CH01TB-8052, near # 149/12, Village Dhanas on 19.11.2019. A case FIR No. 160, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 420, U/S 279, 337, 304-A IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the statement of Raj Kumari R/o # 978, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh against unknown driver of car, who hit to complainant’s and a girl namely Ishpreet Kaur d/o Paramjit Singh, near Gurudwara chowk on 04.11.2019 and run away.  Complainant and girl got injuries and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Later, Ishpreet died in Hospital.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 361, U/S 420, 120 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the statement of Trepan Singh Jaswal r/o Ward No. 100/A, Nathuwala Sai Colony, Dehradun, alleged that Hemant Sharma, Shalini Kaur, Gagan Ram, Vibhakar Dev and Vijay Thakur all R/o SCO No.62-63, fourth floor, Sector-17, Chandigarh all they cheated complainant for Rs. 1, 83000/- for arranging him job.   Investigation of the case is in progress.

Abduction

A person resident of Chandigarh reported that BechanMandal @ Aditya resident of Sitamarhi, Bihar and his brother namely Kishan, who abducted his daughter, aged about 18 years on 06.11.2019. A case FIR No. 280, U/S 363, 366, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Robbery

          Shankar Kumar Shah r/o # 543/B, kajefri, Sector-52, Chandigarh reported that unknown person who robbed complainant’s mobile phone, Aadhar car and cash Rs. 2500/-from near Jayanti majri Barrier on 21.11.2019. A case FIR No. 159, U/S 392, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later on, accused namely Arjun @ Shankar R/o Jhuggi No. 10, Village Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Using Fake registration number

A case FIR No. 144, U/S 473 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh against Naveen Kumar R/o C-57, Village Faidan, Chandigarh, for using fake Registration number PB10 N 7966 on his motorcycle whereas original Number of motorcycle is GJ10N7966. Investigation of the case is in progress.
