“We, as a party, want to work for the benefit of people, unlike those who are busy in caste politics.“ Targeting the hardships of farmers, she added, “ Farmers have been fooled under Fasal Bima Yojana. Even if the crop is entirely destroyed, the compensation for it disappears within the system.”

“We want to work, unlike those who are busy in caste politics”: Madhu Anand in Alipur

Madhu Anand, Panchkula candidate of Swaraj India, continued her Jansabha streak as Swaraj India cars marked their presence in Alipur on Friday morning. Surinder Pal Singh, Executive Member of Swaraj India, Comrad Karamchand, District President, CPI(M), and Christina Samy, National Vice President and Presidium member of Swaraj India, actively participated in conveying the goals of the party.

Talking about the current condition of politics, Samy expressed that a change in the political regime is long overdue. People need a new version of politics, which goes to them, asks their issues, and works on them with full force.

Anand said that “We, as a party, want to work for the benefit of people, unlike those who are busy in caste politics.“ Targeting the hardships of farmers, she added, “ Farmers have been fooled under Fasal Bima Yojana. Even if the crop is entirely destroyed, the compensation for it disappears within the system.”

“This is why our Pratigya Patra states that farmers will get at least 1.5 times the cost of their entire produce and we will try our level best to make them debt-free. I’ve been fighting for justice for a fair part of my life and I will continue to do so for as long as I can,” which marked the end of Anand’s speech.

The farmers and people of Alipur showcased support for Swaraj India and Madhu Anand by chanting her name and blowing the whistle – Swaraj India’s symbol for the elections.
