One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

          Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Deepak Sood R/o Mehazm Dhaba, Boileaugany, Shimla (HP) age 48 yrs while he was illegally possessing 10 boxes of English wine (12 bottles each) and 155 boxes of Beer (12 bottles each) carried in Tata 407 No. HP10A2497 near Fun Republic light point, Chandigarh on 27.09.2019. A case FIR No. 157, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Four arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          Four different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-IT Park & PS-31, Chandigarh against four person who were arrested while consuming liquor at different public places on 27.09.2019. Later they were released on bail.

MV Theft

A girl resident of Sector 10, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away her Activa Scooter No. CH01AH-4384 parked near Car Washing, Elante Mall, Chandigarh on 22-09-2019. A case FIR No. 265, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Sukhpreet R/o # 633/3, Sector-40A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away his Splender M/Cycle No. PB37H-4384 parked near his house on 23-09-2019. A case FIR No. 339, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

A case FIR No. 194, U/S 147, 149, 323, 341, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Parwinder Singh R/o Village Katora, Ferozepur, (PB) who alleged that Sanjeev Chaudhary, Sumit @ Rahul, Vinod Dahiya, Ravinder Gill, Akash Chaudhary, Anant Chaudhary and Pardeep Jaglan all quarreled and beaten complainant and his friends near Chemistry to Physics Canteen, Panjab University, Sector 14, Chandigarh on 27.09.2019. Complainant and his friend Krishan got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh for treatment. Investigation of case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 195, U/S 147, 149, 323, 341, 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Adeshveer Singh R/o # 1671, Sector 33D, Chandigarh who alleged that Deven Sharma, Saurabh Ghai, Sahaj Sidharana, Gurwinder Mand, Jasmeet Singh, Sidharth Midha all quarreled and beaten complainant and his friends with sticks near DAV School, Sector 15, Chandigarh on 27.09.2019. Complainant further alleged that they also broken glasses of car of his friend and also took away chain of complainant. Complainant and his friends Arpit & Chakshu got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh for treatment. Investigation of case is in progress.
